Amazon Tablet Computer To Start Shipping In November

Amazon recently announced the launch of the Kindle Fire – their new tablet computer – at a press conference in New York. The new Amazon tablet computer is priced at just $ 199 and is scheduled to start shipping on the fifteenth of November. Amazon are taking pre-orders starting from today and, based on previous experience with Kindle launches, it seems likely that the new tablet will be sold out before it even starts shipping.
With its 7″, LCD color touch screen, it’s quite possible that the new Fire might do for video and movies what the Kindle reader did for ebooks. Battery life is said to be 8 hours when reading books and 7.5 hours when watching videos.
A whole new series of Kindle readers was also announced at the same time. There is a new entry level Kindle, which sells for just $ 79, as well as a new Kindle Touch which sells from anywhere between $ 99 and $ 189, depending upon which model you choose.
